Role Summary

The full-time salaried Senior Consultant is part of the backbone of FMG Leading. Our Senior Consultants support and deliver value to clients across FMG Leading’s industry practices through organizational change advisory, strategic advising, leader and team development, and organizational assessment services. Additionally, our Senior Consultants support business growth through management of internal projects, including product development, systems/process improvement, research, and thought leadership. Successful Senior Consultants are collaborative team players, versatile, proactive, able to quickly synthesize data, and obsessed with client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

This role is dually focused on client delivery (with a 70% utilized/applied expectation) and on firm development (remaining 30% of time focused on firm projects, operations duties, business and product development, and thought leadership):

1. Consulting Delivery

  • Support or direct delivery of client engagements, ranging across strategy, team and leader development, and culture/ organizational transformation services.

  • Collection, synthesis and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to support and drive client solutions. Includes client interviews, data collection/review and analysis to identify key themes and insights, and presentation of findings and recommendations.

  • Design and facilitation of client meetings.

  • Assurance of quality and client satisfaction.

2. Project Leadership

  • Manage client relationships and connections, providing thoughtful recommendations, insights, and strategies in partnership with internal FMG Executive Sponsors.

  • Organize, maintain, and drive details around client projects; including developing project workplans, managing and leading client calls, capturing notes, tracking project progress against scope, firm expenses, and overall time.

  • Development of materials and presentations for client project delivery.

  • Oversight of survey administration, in partnership with the firm’s Analytics team, as needed for individual, team, and organizational assessments.

3. Firm Development

  • Provide support to FMG Leading Practices and Operations for internal firm systems and efficiencies.

  • Engage with qualified business development leads as directed by Growth and Sales/Marketing teams.

  • Support to FMG Leading thought-leadership (speeches, publications, interviews, white papers, etc.) .

  • Ongoing development/enhancement of FMG Leading solutions in our business lanes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development (OD), I/O Psychology, or related field preferred.

  • 7-10 years of consistently expanding work experience in management consulting, human resources, leadership development, coaching and/or training.

  • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and focused on GSD (“getting stuff done”) individually and in a team environment.

  • Strong project management skills – driven to hold multiple moving parts of complex client systems in place while providing an excellent client experience. Excellent PowerPoint skills and ability to visually and creatively capture data and solutions in presentation formats.

  • Work well within a collaborative, yet partially decentralized organization.

  • Thrive in fast-paced, frequently ambiguous, and complex situations. Able to juggle multiple client engagements and competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Willing to “walk the talk,” engaging in on-going development and personal transformation, matching what we ask of our clients.

  • Superior written and oral communication skills, facilitation skills, presence, and ability to synthesize data into insights.

  • Demonstrated success in business development and growing work with existing clients.

Position Logistics

The Senior Consultant full-time position is virtually-based and reports to an FMG Leading Director. Travel is required to client locations throughout the US, as well as FMG Leading offices and other firm meetings/events. Must be able to prioritize client travel, sometimes with little notice.
