Dave has a Master’s in Intercultural Management from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is often invited to guest lecture at such distinguished institutions as Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University, and Babson College.

EXPERIENCE

Dave Eaton is a Senior Consultant with FMG Leading, an advisory firm that builds world-class organizations at the intersection of humanity and high performance. For the past 30 years, he has coached C-Suite executives on the importance of developing high-performance cultures that enable and unlock the potential of leaders, teams, and the entire organization in service of their strategy.

Dave works closely with senior management teams across a range of industries to help them lead the human side of culture change within business transactions, while the company ensures efficient and effective execution and sustainability of desired change. Helping leaders drive cultural integration and individual and team performance has helped Dave’s clients create measurable improvements to bottom-line results. Dave has also partnered with executives to address the complex issues surrounding the need for cross-cultural competencies and cultures of inclusivity.

In addition to his coaching and advisory work, Dave is a frequent speaker in public and private company forums, having facilitated more than 500 workshops, team workouts, and 1:1 coaching sessions for over 100 clients in the Global 1,000, across a broad range of industries, geographies and functions. His expertise is most impactfully applied during mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, globalization, spin-offs/carve-outs, and other major business transformations.

Prior to joining the advisory industry, Dave worked for two international public relations firms. As an account executive, he created and implemented innovative public relations strategies to support the corporation’s communications objectives for achieving bottom-line business objectives.

Dave also founded Eaton Consulting Group in 1993, which later merged with Meridian Resources (creators of GlobeSmart) to form Aperian Global (2005), the world's largest, privately held, cross-cultural training/ consulting/webtools company, where he held the position of Founder/Owner/Practice Leader through 2009.

Dave’s impressive client list includes a broad range of leading global brands, including Mass General Brigham, Fidelity, Dell, Ernst & Young, Alcatel-Lucent, Boston Scientific, Wal-Mart, Samsung, Sony, Deere, Lego, Cisco, Microsoft, and Novartis.

PUBLICATIONS

Dave has written numerous articles on the topics of Globalization, Global Teams, Global Leaders, Global M&A/JVs, Global Project Management, Global Sourcing, Global Manufacturing, and Global HR/OD. He is currently writing his first book on Global Best Practices in Cultural Integration, highlighting multiple case studies from intriguing projects he has worked on with clients over the past 30 years.

Dave has a Master’s in Intercultural Management from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a member of, and speaker at, a wide array of professional associations in Human Resources (SHRM, ATD, HCI, HRLF), Global Mobility (ERC), and other industry conferences (Conference Board, NASSCOM and Project Management International). Dave is often invited by major Business Schools and other Universities to guest lecture; he has spoken to future leaders at such distinguished institutions as Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University, and Babson College.

PERSONAL

Dave and his wife Jennifer have four children. They currently reside in Kennebunkport, Maine.
