David brings nearly 30 years of Fortune 50 Corporate Human Resources experience to his role at FMG Leading, including executive roles in Talent, Leadership & Development and as an HR Business Partner.

David translates his experience into pragmatic solutions for high-growth companies. As an accomplished Human Resources executive, he has the ability to help clients effectively integrate HR roles into overall business and growth strategies. David also serves clients as an executive coach, where he supports his clients in solving problems such as: insufficient leadership skills, dysfunctional executive teams, M&A challenges, talent recruitment and retention, and HR and management issues.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Washington University, and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Michigan.

EXPERIENCE

David is a Senior Consultant at FMG Leading, a team of advisors that helps clients create world-class organizations at the intersection of business strategy and human capital performance.  David brings nearly 30 years of Fortune 50 Corporate Human Resources experience including executive roles in Talent, Leadership & Development and as an HR Business Partner.  He specializes in connecting people, organizational and leadership solutions that improve business performance and better workplaces.

David translates his experience into pragmatic solutions for high-growth companies.  As an accomplished Human Resources executive, he has the ability to help clients effectively integrate HR roles into overall business and growth strategies.  Recently he has served in the role of Interim HR Lead as well as helping clients implement a range of HR initiatives, including improvement of leadership team performance and succession plans, design of management training and development programs, and implementation of new talent review programs.  David has helped his HR partners and clients redefine organizational values and redesign cultures, and he developed a culture and leadership integration playbook to optimize the success of merger & acquisition activity.

David also serves clients as an executive coach, where he supports his clients in solving problems such as: insufficient leadership skills, dysfunctional executive teams, M&A challenges, talent recruitment and retention, and HR and management issues. David’s clients benefit from his focus on building leadership effectiveness and strategic management skills within organizations to enhance their positive social impact.

Prior to FMG Leading, David served as Global Head, Leadership and Management Development for Merck & Company, Inc. During his nearly 3 decades at Merck, he held various executive roles, including Executive Director, Human Resources for US Market and Global Medical Affairs, and Global Leader of Talent Management.

David has served as Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County, NJ, Chair of the Boys & Girls Club Area Council of New Jersey, and Board Member of the Father Center of New Jersey.

PERSONAL

David lives in Yardley, PA with his wife of 25 years, and has two grown sons.  He enjoys cooking, bike riding, music of all types, travel, and learning and exploring new ideas.
