Jim holds a BA in Economics and History from the College of William & Mary and has attained the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, which is conferred by a partnership of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim McAvoy is Director, Client Development at FMG Leading, a team of advisors that partner with visionary organizations and investors committed to transforming the healthcare industry. Jim is an author, entrepreneur, and client engagement/lead generation expert. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in business development, marketing, and building top line growth in cross industry roles including in healthcare, financial services, higher education, and startups.

Jim is the author of "#LEADS to SALES tweet Book01: Creating Qualified Business Leads in the 21st Century.” He has guest-lectured at both the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern Management. In addition, he has also facilitated workshops on the topic of lead-generation for 1871--Chicago's Entrepreneurial Hub for Digital Startups and The Polsky Center which is affiliated with the University of Chicago.

PERSONAL

Jim and his wife live outside of Philadelphia in Wyomissing (The original hometown of a very well-known current female singer/songwriter). When not working, Jim enjoys time with his family that includes three children, traveling, exercising, cooking, reading, and playing the piano.
