Joyce is a servant leader, career strategist, compelling speaker, and experienced executive who has worked with hundreds of high achieving professionals and numerous organizations.

With more than 20 years of experience in corporate America, Joyce has a proven track record of success in business development, talent management, marketing, operations, human resources, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I). Joyce is an expert in developing innovative leadership development programs that address business gaps with an emphasis on leveraging the experiences and expertise of diverse talent.

As an executive coach, Joyce prides herself in her ability to advise and act with empathy and vulnerability, while also driving positive business outcomes, shareholder value, and increased employee engagement. Joyce previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at CNA Insurance, where she led a team of over 600 in developing and implementing strategies that drove innovation, efficiencies, and process optimization. She also served as CNA’s first Chief Diversity Officer, spearheading the organization’s enterprise-wide efforts to develop and implement a diverse and inclusive culture both internally and with external agent and broker partners. Earlier in her career, Joyce held the role of Vice President and Branch Manager with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, becoming the first woman of color in Chubb’s 130-year history to assume a branch manager role. She also held the role of Assistant Vice President and Regional Marketing Manager for the Chubb Washington D.C. region, where she was responsible for managing the marketing and sales curriculum of $425 million portfolio across 5 states.

In addition to her role at FMG Leading, Joyce is the Founder and CEO of Trimuel Enterprises, LLC., a business-consulting firm that specializes in developing key strategies to help women and diverse talent advance into the careers of their dreams. She also works with organizations and their leaders to expand their cultural competencies to lead all of their talent more inclusively.

Joyce’s previous clients have included: Willis Towers Watson, Xavier University, The American Red Cross, Howard University, and the National African American Insurance Association.

BOARDS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Joyce was named to the Insurance Business America 2019 “Hot 100” List. She is a Board Member and Tiffany Circle Member of the American Red Cross, and formerly sat on the board of KIPP Kansas City. Joyce is a supporter of Girls on the Run (Chicago), and in 2015 was named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s list of “Women Who Mean Business.”

PERSONAL

Joyce is an outdoor enthusiast and completed her first triathlon last year. She also is a bonafide foodie and enjoys venturing out for the latest culinary find. Joyce resides in Chicago, Illinois.
