Landen Zernickow

Senior Consultant

A seasoned advisor and consultant with a range of diverse and international experience, Landen brings over 15 years of expertise in organizational development, talent development, learning and knowledge management, continuous improvement, and strategic communications.​

Landen currently supports FMG Leading’s Organizational Transformation practice. She partners with clients who are navigating complex change at scale, helping them align talent processes, execution capabilities, and communications initiatives. Throughout her career, Landen has focused on building team and organizational capacity, to help clients collectively accomplish their missions. Prior to FMG Leading, Landen served as an Associate Consultant for Dialogues In Action, a leadership, evaluation, and strategy firm in Portland, Oregon, where she helped nonprofit and public sector teams assess their impact and align strategy with values and intention.

Landen earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis, and her Master’s of Public Administration from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.

EXPERIENCE

Landen is a Senior Consultant with FMG Leading, a team of advisors and coaches who help build world-class organizations by aligning business strategy with human capital strategy. A seasoned advisor with a range of diverse and international experience, Landen brings over 15 years of expertise in organizational development, talent development, learning and knowledge management, continuous improvement, and strategic communications.

Throughout her career, Landen has focused on building team and organizational capacity, to help clients collectively accomplish their missions. Her organizational transformation focus supports clients in navigating complex change at scale, aligning talent processes to execution capabilities, and supporting strategic communications planning. She has designed engaging experiential leadership programs in a variety of client systems, helping leaders achieve personal growth while increasing both business and community impact. Landen subscribes to a coaching philosophy that what we do anywhere, we do everywhere, and that our best selves are already inside of us, ready to be unlocked. Landen also serves on the FMG Gives Advisory Board, bringing FMG Leading advisory expertise to pro bono clients.

Prior to FMG Leading, Landen served as an Associate Consultant for Dialogues In Action, a leadership, evaluation, and strategy firm in Portland, Oregon, where she focused on building the capacity of teams in the nonprofit and public sectors to evaluate their impact and align strategy with values and intention. Landen has also served in various leadership and coaching roles with LifeDojo, East Metro STEAM Partnership, and Genesys Works. In each role, she focused on assessing and developing emerging talent, and enabling leaders to effectively manage change to drive measurable results.

Landen has worked in a range of industries, including education, healthcare, financial services, nonprofit, social enterprise, international development, and municipal and state governments.

ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS

Landen earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis, and her Master’s of Public Administration from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She has studied and worked in several Latin American countries.

PERSONAL

Landen lives in Southwest Washington with her husband and two young sons. While not working, she enjoys hiking and running in the nearby woods.
