Nicole has a particular affinity for start-up organizations and has worked across many industries, most notably software, energy, healthcare and finance.

Nicole earned a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Leadership from The George Washington University.

EXPERIENCE

Nicole Crowley is a Senior Consultant at FMG Leading, a team of advisors that helps clients build world-class organizations at the intersection of humanity and high performance. Nicole guides organizations with the business in mind, focusing on aligning human resources strategy with organizational priorities.

As a trusted advisor, Nicole coaches her clients to success by removing obstacles and creating a shared vision for progressive teams focused on innovation. Nicole has a particular affinity for start-up organizations and has worked across many industries, most notably software, energy, healthcare and finance.

Prior to starting her consulting career, Nicole developed and led the HR organization for an LNG export facility, growing the employee base from 35 to 380 employees in just under 3 years and implementing key policies and procedures to support the organization’s growth.

Nicole’s career also includes 10 years at the Advisory Board Company where she served in a number of HR and Sales leadership roles, guiding the organization post an IPO and then driving the integration efforts of numerous acquisitions.

ADDITIONAL PRACTICE AREAS

In addition to her role with FMG Leading, Nicole is also the Founder and Managing Partner at Redbud, a consulting firm that partners with start-up, high-growth and progressive organizations to overcome key human resources challenges.

BOARDS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Nicole volunteers her time by providing pro-bono HR support to The Latin American Youth Center, a Washington, DC - based nonprofit focused on removing barriers to success for low-income youth.

ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS

Nicole earned a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Leadership from The George Washington University. She received her PHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and also completed Mercer’s M&A Ready and Cultural Integration certificate.

PERSONAL

Nicole grew up in South Orange, NJ and has spent the past 25 years in Washington, DC where she lives with her husband, Paul, and her two children, Helen & Emmet. A self described “foodie,” Nicole loves trying new restaurants and experimenting with new recipes.
