Thomas brings comprehensive C-suite and General Manager experience to his role. His operational leadership background spans from midmarket companies to global corporations, including roles with P&L responsibilities ranging from $10M to $100M+.

Thomas also brings extensive mergers and acquisitions experience to his clients - both sell-side and buy-side. He has worked with a variety of private equity firms, both as a reporting portfolio company executive, and in executive advisory roles.  A key to Thomas’ success in growing businesses is his ability to retool and refocus organizational strategy, along with his talent assessment and team development skills. Furthermore, he brings domain expertise in sales effectiveness, reengineering of sales and customer experience teams and processes, business process optimization and organizational ‘rightsizing’.     

Thomas holds master’s degrees in Business Administration & Management from Henley Business School (UK), and in Political Science & Government from University of Copenhagen (Denmark).

EXPERIENCE

Thomas is a Director at FMG Leading, an advisory firm that creates client value at the intersection of human performance and business strategy. An accomplished senior executive, Thomas brings comprehensive C-suite and General Manager experience to his role. His operational leadership background spans from midmarket companies to global corporations, including roles with P&L responsibilities ranging from $10M to $100M+.

Thomas’ career includes experience as a CEO  in both the United States and in Europe. He became Chief Information Officer at a global services company early in his career, and advanced to Chief Executive Officer of a healthcare IT start-up a few years later. He led this start-up from inception to a highly recognized market leader. Thomas then accepted a role as Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuters’ Nordic Division, which tripled in size during his tenure. He was subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President & General Manager in Thomson Reuters’ US-based Healthcare Information Division and relocated to the United States. Thomas successfully headed up this business during a period of rapid change, including a transition to private equity ownership. Today the business is part of IBM Watson Health. Thomas has also served as President and Board member of a private equity backed behavioral health analytics company.

ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS

Thomas holds master’s degrees in Business Administration & Management from Henley Business School (UK), and in Political Science & Government from University of Copenhagen (Denmark). He has also served as faculty member of Business Strategy at the Copenhagen Business School. Thomas is a certified executive coach through the Hudson Institute of Coaching, an accredited coach training program through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

PERSONAL

Thomas is a native of Denmark and a dual US/Danish citizen. He lives with his family in Los Angeles and is a keen tennis player.
